John L. May Society

The Archbishop John L. May Society

The late Archbishop John L. May devoted much time and effort to complete the Cathedral in 1988; a full 76 years after construction had begun.

In honor of his legacy, the John L. May Society was established in 1992 to provide a guiding force for the ongoing preservation of the art and architecture found in this great monument to our faith. The Friends of the Cathedral Basilica encourage and facilitate giving for the support of the building itself, and the John L. May Society recognizes a particularly generous group of Friends members who annually give $1,000 or more.

Being a friend of the Cathedral’s benefit is knowing that you have had a major part in preserving this Cathedral for future generations.

Please consider joining the Archbishop John L. May Society through an annual tax- deductible donation of $1,000 or more and help us in our preservation efforts.
