What A Difference!
All Saints Chapel in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis
is undergoing a thorough cleaning and restoration!
The 93-year-old chapel, at the south end of the building on the west side, was designed in an Italian style, rather than the Byzantine style that predominates the cathedral basilica. The cleaning project will involved methods safe for all the mosaics and marble in the chapel. The project will cost approximate $25,000. That does not include grinding the marble floors down with a diamond polishing method to remove years of wax buildup. That portion of the project is being donated by Stone Masters Inc..
The Friends of the Cathedral Basilica, which raises money for the preservation of the art and architecture of the cathedral basilica, welcome donations to help fund this project. Donations can be made via the website or mail a check to
