Sacrament of Penance

27Beatitude clean“We have a good Lord, whose will it is to forgive all.” Saint Ambrose

Often, Catholics associate certain seasons with the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. However, every Catholic should recognize that the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is a gift from the Lord to be used frequently and effectively – not just a seasonal sacrament, but an all-year opportunity to meet Christ as He intended: as the merciful Redeemer.

A priest is available in the confessional Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., on Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:50 p.m., and on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. (following the 8:00 a.m. Mass), and from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. (following the 10:00 a.m. Mass).

All confessionals are equipped with a screen, and some are available with chairs for a face-to-face celebration of the sacrament. Reconciliation is also available by appointment. Please call the rectory at 314-373-8202 for an appointment.

Please use the donate button to make Offertory gifts to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Thank you for your generosity.
