Votive Candles

Lighting a candle for loved ones or the personal intentions we hold within our hearts, is a longstanding tradition in the Catholic Church. We invite you to join us in this faithful tradition by lighting a candle at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis

Vigil candles burn in chapels and throughout the Cathedral. Each burning flame represents the faith of the supplicants and their fervent prayers entrusted to Our Lord.

The suggested donation is $1.00 for small candles (All Souls and Blessed Mother Chapel) and $2.00 for larger candles (Sacred Heart Shrine)
