Msgr. Salvatore Polizzi

Salvatore Emmanuel Polizzi, son of Vito Polizzi and Rosa Randazzo was born in St Louis on November 8, 1930 and baptized at our Lady Help of Christians Church on January 4, 1931. He was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Joseph Ritter on March 17, 1956 and named a Prelate of Honor on May 7, 1986. He died in St Louis on Monday, April 24, 2023.

 Visitation for Monsignor Polizzi will take place on Monday, May 1, 2023 at St Roch Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be a second visitation at the Cathedral Basilica on Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. 

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In his sixty-seven years of priestly ministry he served in only three parishes: St Ambrose, St Catherine of Alexandria, and St Roch, and there for forty-two years.
