Confirmations at the Cathedral

Throughout the course of the year, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis hosts parishes for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  On this webpage, you will find some pertinent information to assist you in planning to attend a Confirmation at the Cathedral.

• Masks must be worn upon entry to the Cathedral Basilica and must remain on the entire time, even in the pews; we ask that you please bring a mask with you.
• Those attending may begin arriving one hour before the start of Confirmation.
• The Mass will be live-streamed for those family and friends unable to attend due to limited seating.  The link can be found here: //Cathedralstl.org/live
• Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while in the Cathedral, before, during, and after Mass
• Sponsors will present the candidate to the bishop in a clear and loud voice using the student’s Confirmation name
• Candidates respond clearly and loudly w/ words of the sacramental rite: “Amen” “And with your spirit”
• Candidates are asked to wear name tags with only their confirmation (saint) name on the card.
